While most churches suffer a lack of finances, I am sure that this is not God’s plan. If God’s people would be faithful in giving their tithes and offerings, God’s workers would have plenty and the work would go on well.

TITHING PRODUCES EVIDENCE OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

The third key principle that Malachi teaches us is that when we tithe God will show His faithfulness. In fact, the message seems to be that God is just waiting for us to do our part so that He can do what He promises .

“Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”(Mal. 3:10)

We are challenged to test God with tithing

God gives us a challenge, a dare to do something. There is no other place in scripture where God openly challenges us to test Him and see if He will do as promised. But here, He asks us to try Him.

Satan will give us many excuses about why we shouldn’t give to God, but God says, “Test me!” What are you waiting for? What more do you need? God will never be in debt to anyone, nor will He ever fail. Many believers have not really believed in this part of God’s faithfulness and they have never put Him to the test.

Go ahead; take His challenge! Decide today that for the next six months you will faithfully tithe from all your income. Then take a look at your life and see if God has shown himself faithful. You will never experience His blessings until you are obedient to His commands. My wife and I have tithed for as long as we can remember and can tell many stories of God’s faithfulness to meet our needs.

God promises blessing to those who will tithe

God says that when you test Him with tithing He will “throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” God promises blessing for those who will tithe, even more than we can imagine! God loves to give and when you start giving to Him it just stimulates His giving nature and He continues giving and giving.

You will never experience his blessings until you are obedient to his commands.
